Events:  Titus Andronicus has returned to Rome and has captured the barbarous Goths queen Tamora, she tries to contemplate with Titus Andronicus as Titus has given the order to kill Tamoras’ son she tries to tell Titus that he has just lost 25 of his sons and he knows how it feels to lose them and not to kill her sons as she doesn’t want to go through the same pain as Titus is going through.

Themes: the emotions that you experience when you lose someone who is very close to you.

Quotation: ‘ A mother’s tears in passion for her son: And if thy sons were ever deer to thee, O, think my son to be as deer to me!’

Explanation: This shows how much pain a mother will feel if her child or children were to be executed this could give us a better understanding of what drove people to execute others until it became a normal event.
